Housing / Shelter:

Bangladesh is a densely-populated, low-lying, mainly riverside country along with a coastline of 580 km (360 mile) on the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate characterized by heavy seasonal rainfall, high temperatures, and high humidity. Natural disasters such as floods and cyclones accompanied by storm surges periodically affect the country. As a result, many people loss their houses every year and they take shelter on the road or roadside open spaces in several corner of the country. River erosion also caused many homeless people every year.

Most of the national and international organizations contributes for temporarily housing and shelter facilities by giving tents and making the construction of bamboo housing following the disasters. But this is not enough on the behalf of vast population in Bangladesh. Dost Aid Bangladesh society is assisting such homeless people by providing them with temporary housing support to protect them from the pouring rain and scorching heat and the cold waves of winter.

Your generous donation may support a needy family build a respectable and durable shelter.

Schools for Poor Children:

Education in Bangladesh is overseen by the Ministry of Education. Ministry of Primary and Mass Education is responsible for implementing policy for primary education and state-funded schools at a local level. In Bangladesh, all citizens must undertake twelve years of compulsory education which consists of eight years at primary school level and six years at high school level. Primary education is financed by the state and secondary education is free of charge for girls in public schools. But till date, the overall scenario of education is not pleasing. Though the literacy rate is increasing, young learners are yet to obtain real education. In this regards, SAWAB wants to create an opportunity for the children who are deprived of education building new education center basically for the poorest community of the country. Dost Aid Bangladesh society is seeking for funds for establishing school buildings for the children.

Bangladesh is one of the largest Islamic countries of the world with 85% of the population as Muslims. Moreover, Dhaka is known as a City of Mosque. But outside Dhaka city, mostly in the rural parts, have not enough mosques for the religious community. Some mosques are very old, some of them have temporary praying arrangements (made of bamboo or tin), and many cases people have to talk long ways to reach the mosques in far distant. As a result, many Muslim people cannot perform their prayer regularly going to mosque five times a day. They need more well constructed mosques in the local community.

Dost Aid Bangladesh society, with assistance of other Islamic donor countries, likes to provide well constructed mosque in the local areas around the country so that every Muslim can perform their prayer properly and in tranquility.

You may the partner by donating for construction of Mosques all over Bangladesh.
